We owe IRL Social Skills a debt of gratitude

My son G needed to see peers with similar social struggles. He needed to hear some of what I say—as well as new material from someone other than me—in a neutral and safe environment of acceptance. Through IRL Social Skills, G learned, practiced and solidifed sills for life. The program gave him a good foundation to which we can refer, and much-needed safe practice with other teens. Most touching of all, it helped him to feel likable to peers at a time when he had been feeling socially rejected. G was able to build connections with other students (in the class) which we hope will continue.

The IRL Social Skills coaches are warm, down-to-earth, and generous professionals who understand children and social struggles. They taught the class ways to self-soothe, put words to feelings and body sensations, and of course, social skills. What a supportive and encouraging community we all enjoyed! We owe IRL Social Skills a debt of gratitude. —R.L.
